Thursday, November 3 through Monday, November 7100 Project Points The Food Innovation Project is usually one of my student's favorite projects. Students are assigned the task of inventing a new food product and deciding how to market it. The project is worth 100 points, but there are 180 points of options that students can choose from to get those 100 points. The rubric and resources pages can be found below or on FCS 1 File Cabinet page of this site. We will work on this project for 5 days this week and work should be done by Friday. Next week students will be given the opportunity to do presentations for their peers or present food demonstrations and samples if they so choose. Here are some website resourses students can use when creating their product: - Container:
 - Nutrition Label:
- Food Advertising Strategies:
- Food Labeling:
- Advertisement:
- Product Presentation:
- Use PowerPoint to help you organize your presentation.
- Cooking Demonstration:

10 points Faijita Lab Planning Form
On Tuesday Mrs. Stucker will be demonstrating how to make the Fajitas Lab. We will be making Beef Fajitas. This is a great lab because it requires the use of so many of the skills we've learned this semester. Students will be using the knife skills they've learned to cut vegetables and meat. Students will use a variety of measurement skills to measure ingredients for the marinade. Students will also use a thermometer to test the doneness of the meat.
Making Marinade (This is a different recipe than we use, but similar technique.)
Peeling, Mincing, and Crushing Garlic for the Marinade
Julienne Peppers and Onions for Fajitas
Slice Meat for Fajitas
